Well, Kyle is off to a blistering start and remains the only undefeated team.
5 weeks in, Kyle has 3 RBs in the Top 10 in scoring, Christian Watson is the #2 WR on the year, and Sam LaPorta is #3 at the TE position. His team has the most points scored by a significant margin. Question is, is this Kyle's year to make a championship run, or is the future already predetermined..?
He thrashed my team this week, so not showing any signs of slowing down yet. Though he gets a matchup in week 6 with the two-time champ, so we'll see if he can keep the streak going.
Brice's team mascot may have had posters in every girl's room at one point in time, but it's not 1996 anymore, and a 1-4 start is probably not what he envisioned.
A bit of rough luck with matchups, as his team is actually #3 in scoring through 5 weeks. Add in a few heartbreaking losses in Sunday & Monday night games, and the most points scored against him so far.
Brice gets a brother v brother matchup in Week 6 to try to turn things in his favor.
Ramsey is off to a 2-3 start, bookending his season with big score totals in Week 1 & Week 5. He may have found a diamond in the rough with Jaylen Warren (Round 8 pick), if he remains the centerpiece of the Steelers backfield. Chris Olave has also been looking pretty elite. We'll see if Ramsey can get back to .500 when he matches up against Brice in Week 6.
Matt is sitting at #2 in the standings through 5 weeks, coming off a huge win this week thanks to Josh Allen & Jahmyr Gibbs. Both of them are #1 at their respective positions so far, which really comes at no surprise.
We'll see if Good Burger has the secret sauce to still clutch out a win this week with Gibbs on bye.
Zach is coming off a couple wins, and is sitting at 3-2 on the season so far. JSN is continuing from where he left off last season, being just incredibly dominant pretty much every week. Isaiah Likely is also getting peppered with targets, and also has 4 scores through 5 weeks.
Ollie Gordon was also a great pickup, and could pay dividends through the rest of the year. Although he'll be without both him and Chase Brown in his Week 6 matchup with Jordan, as they're both on bye.
Speaking of Jordan, he's holding it down through 5 weeks at 2-3. James Cook & Amon-Ra have delivered as expected, but both Parker Washington & Zay Flowers have been nice surprises at the WR position. Both of them sit in the Top 10 in scoring so far.
Tom starts the season off in a group of us sitting at 3-2. His QB duo of Purdy & Goff are both Top 5 at the position, and Kenneth Walker is the #4 RB, despite having a bye week thrown in there. Davante Adams also seems to still have it, as he showed us again last night in the MNF game. Tom faces off with Kent in Week 6.
Just gonna guess that Kent is less than pleased with his 1-4 start. He has had a few tough matchups to overcome, and also having a slew of injuries doesn't help things.
On paper, his team looks good, so with Puka back healthy, hopefully he will turn things around. Kent will have to prove it though, with a matchup vs Tom this week.
Our two-time defending champ may be slow-playing us this year, as Dan's team hasn't exactly lit up the scoreboard through 5 weeks. Luckily a couple narrow victories has him chilling at 2-3, but losing Achane hurts, and DeVonta Smith has also missed a few weeks now. Several other players are banged up, but hopefully brighter days are ahead.
Dan squares off with Kyle in Week 6.
That's all for now boys. Best of luck with your week 6 matchups!
Cheers
